Recently we had some rain and strong winds up here. There are lots of fun things to do in strong winds, like dodge tumble weeds on my way to work. Another fun part is seeing the desert pick up some life and come out of the frost.
Here are some of the scenes I pass each day as I go to work.

I love the texture in the sky and in the brush. You cannot see it in the black and white but the sky was an amazing light blue as well.

In the summer Rattlesnake ridge will look pretty brown. But for now the frost brings all the details out for view.

The Yakima river runs up close to the road for a short stretch. I always love driving by here as the river curves around towards Rattlesnake ridge.
