Christmas Footprints

Emily had her first trip to the beach today! It was a fun trip for us. This is the first time that she has gotten to walk in a lot of sand and been close to an ocean. Plus there was no one at the beach, for some reason the people in California think that it is cool weather right now.

It was fun watching the surfers, we saw some good waves (5-6ft) come while walking the pier. We also had fun chasing some seagulls around and watching the sunset over Catalina.

Little footprints in the sand

Emily didn't actually like her first steps in the sand. As soon as she could she ran to the sheet we had set out on the sand.

She actually went to the ocean without help. Though when the water first came towards her she backed up a bit. As you can see it was a little too cold for her. She doesn't like snow fed lakes and rivers either.
