September Photos

Here are a few photos that I've been meaning to post for a while. These are all from September. Life has been pretty busy for us lately, so I haven't gotten out with the camera for a while.

The weather is changing with fall. The desert is beautiful after the rain. I may need to take the camera to work with me again.

Back at the apple festival they had some horses and ponys that the 4h club was raising. Here Emmy gets to pet a pony. We are looking forward to when Emmy is a little older and can enjoy the festivals around here more fully.

Mmmmm... Honestly we fed her more than just the flyer for lunch.

My very first crepe. I had fun learning to cook and flip these. It took until my third batch to really get it nailed, savory, sweet, plain, ... Laura makes some amazing stuffings for our crepes. Now we just have to figure out what we are going to do with the store bought ones we have, it is so much better to get them fresh.

Baking with Daddy

I've been craving waffles lately. So we have done a bit of baking over the last few days.

Today Emmy got to help me with chocolate waffles. She had fun watching (and helping) to mix some of the ingredients together. Although she would rather grab the bowl than help dump in the baking powder.

That's right Emmy, nice and smooth. It is the next step that stays lumpy.

Emmy's down for her morning nap now, and the house is filling with the smell of chocolate, mmmmm........ Gotta go.
